Literature Text

Sometimes I feel like a blank page
A paper left untouched
but crowded in black ink.
Sometimes I wonder if you'll hurt me
leave me out in the rain or break my spine.
I was made for knowledge
Truth, imagination, a safe haven...
I was made to be a painting
But these pages leech into me and tell me that I'm wrong.
And then I look at you;
My safety, my rock, my spine.
Why won't you look at me?
Open me up and read what I hold within my bindings
Why won't you hold me?
And see that I've been screaming your name
Why do you treat me..
Like another book on the shelf.
Just something i found myself writing in Biology- Enjoy

Wonderful metaphor. And it has to do with one of my favorite things: books. Real awesome.
